    Installation and Service Tools Housing Protector Oilequip Full Bore Housing Protectors are compatible with all PC-22 and PC29 casing heads and spools, as well as all Oilequip production heads. These protectors protect the seal housing of the head or spool from wear during the drilling stage. Available for all typical housing sizes. Housing Protector Installer/Remover Tool It is a basic J-type tool that is installed on the drilling pipe. It is connected to the casing protector by a quarter-turn right-hand rotation, and disconnected from the protector by a quarter-turn left-hand rotation. Available for all casing protector sizes. Combination Tool for Housing Protector and BOP Test Plug Installation/Removal It is a multi-tool that works on the drilling pipe with its end facing up or down. When installed with the pins down, it installs or removes the Oilequip casing protector, with dimensions from 10" to 20". When installed with the pins up, it seals and seats in the sealing housing of the head or spool during testing of the BOP or manifold connections. The drilling pipe can be suspended through this tool, eliminating the need to remove the entire pipe out of the well during its use. Bushings are used to adapt the standard tool to the different casing dimensions available. Test Plug for BOP It is a simple tool installed on the drilling pipe for testing the BOP and manifold connections. Available for installation on all casing heads and spools, as well as all Oilequip production heads. Valve Removal Lubricator and Plug The Oilequip Lubricator installs VR Caps on the side outlets of casing heads, casing spools and production heads, with the aim of isolating the annular pressure and enabling the removal of side gate valves for repair or removal. The Lubricator is installed on the side flange of the gate valve. After blocking the internal pressure by threading it into the side outlet of the head or spool. All cased or flanged side outlets on Oilequip casing heads, casing spools and production heads are threaded to accept VR Plugs. For working pressures up to 10,000 psi, VR plugs with 11/2" conical thread are used as standard. For pressures of 15,000 psi, the VR-H model plug is used.

    Secondary Seals Reduction Bushings Reducing Bushings allow the reduction of the lining size. They are installed on the lower flange of the production and lining head or spool, and have two O-rings with anti-extrusion rings to seal around the lining. The sealing rings can be tested through the pressure tap on the lower flange of the head or spool. Secondary Sealing type "OO" This sealing system consists of two 'O' type sealing rings with anti-extrusion rings. It is compatible with most applications and working fluids, and is suitable for working pressures up to 10,000 psi. Available in all existing API coating dimensions. Secondary Sealing type "UU" This sealing system consists of two 'U' type sealing rings, energized by the interference action of the coating and by special springs. It is compatible with most applications and working fluids, and is suitable for working pressures of up to 15,000 psi. Available in all existing API coating dimensions.
